San Francisco City Pass
posted by anneo65 on Apr 18, 2017
Visited San Francisco for a long weekend and purchased a City pass. I have never purchased one before but will never go without now. For the reasonable price we saw 3 major attractions and rode the trolley and bus for free for 3 days.
The trolley alone is $7 each way so this was a major savings.
Slick and easy

We ordered the San Fransisco City Pass booklet a few weeks before our trip.
They came in the mail in a timely manner. Our first destination was the Aquarium in Monterey where we were ushered straight to the front of the line because of our city passes. We used the Exploratorium, Academy of Science (loved that!) and the Blue and Gold boat tour without hassle. These passes made entrance to the various museums effortless and was well worth the price! One struggle was parking around town as we did not use the Muni, train or cable car pass. I would recommend finding day long parking and traveling with the passes.
Good for younger and older kids

My husband and I took our boys ages 16 years and 18 months. My 16 year old loved the CA Academy of Sciences, Exploratorium and Blue and Gold Fleet cruise. My 18 month old loved everything. The Aquarium was nice but my oldest wasn't too impressed, the little guy loved it. Over all, our favorite was California Academy of Sciences. The City Pass was perfect for the price and time we were in SF which was a total of 3 days. You can do more than one attraction per day. I would do it again and try the de Young Museum instead of the Exploratorium, just to see which of the two we like best.

Thank you CityPass.com for the good memories. I can't wait to visit another city to create more memories with my Wife for cheap!

My son has traveled to San Francisco several times, as it is his favorite city! He recommended the City Pass. We purchased and used it every day we were there! The Bay Cruise, The de Young Museum, The Aquarium, The California Science Academy, Exploritorium, the MUNI and cable cars. Everyone was friendly and readily accepted each pass. We missed the Legion of Honor due to our time restrictions. We'll just have to do it again! We highly recommend the City Pass!

We used this with our two kids and we had a great time. It helped ease the pain of paying for each individual attraction and it gave us an opportunity to explore exhibits we wouldn't normally explore. I highly recommend this as you often don't have to wait in lines either. It helped make our experience in SF a great one while we weren't pinching pennies and running out of things to do.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is such an amazing deal. We did everything allowed on the pass. It’s $7.00 per ride just to hop on the cable car. This pass makes it so easy it’s unbelievable. In addition, the attractions included in the pass really show you some neat things in the city. We especially liked the California Academy of Sciences, the Exploritorium, and riding the cable cars. I would recommend this to anyone visiting San Francisco. By the way, this is my second visit to the city and I bought a city pass both times. I’m converted!

The citypass is very convenient to use, especially for all the transportations including trolly. you will definitely save money. However, make a good plan before visit so you can go to all the attractions.

This was a great way to see the "must see" attractions in Seattle at a significant savings. It was our first time to the city and we had only a day and a half to use the pass. Fortunately the weather cooperated and we managed to see all 5 attractions. And because we didn't have to wait in lines and pay full price, I didn't feel bad if we left a museum without seeing every single exhibit in it (you thrifty people know what I'm talking about). Be sure to ride the monorail to the Space Needle if you can--fun and cheap 4 minute ride. Also, make sure you check the cruise schedule-- that was the tough one for us to work around given our arrival and departure schedule into the city. Have fun!
